We have our visas and hotel booked!!

Hola!!

We received our visas today... wow, that was really nice not having to drive back to D.C.!! We did make our reservations for a junior suite at the Intercontinental Hotel. From the pictures on their web-site, it looks like an absolutely beautiful resort. From what we've been told, there are many people there that speak English and they will be able to assist us... muy importante!!! We have heard nothing but good things from many different people, so we feel very comfortable with our choice. Now we need to decide which hotel we are going to stay in when we go to Bogota for the end of our trip. That's not going to be very difficult... many good choices, but it still needs to be done.

Chao,
Catalina

Kathy,

Be sure to look for Leonardo. He is a wonderful young man who works the front desk at the intercontinental. His English is amazing and he is very compassionate.

good luck,
Gina

Excellent! You should be right down the street from us if you are still there when we get there. I can't wait for us to be in the same place. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we will have everything in order. Fortunately for us the consulate is only about 12 miles from the house. :) And about 2 miles from the agency and also the Delta ticket office! Should make it very simple to handle everything in one day.

Congrats to you all!!

we returned in June from our month stay in Bogota adopting our two girls. We stayed at Betty's place which is a nice family friendly place. It is right near the Carulla grocery store and is very clean. You can type in Betty's place bogota colombia in google and find it...tell her Rita said to come stay with her....she is great...americanized all the way but with a great touch of colombian culture!!!!!!! Good luck.
