Another great day!

Hi Everyone,

First of all I'd like to say "thank you" for all of your supporting comments. Being so far from home for so long, it means a lot to us to stay connected to everyone. Every comment means a great deal to us.

Again, the girls had a solid 11 hour sleep last night... Windy is a super sound sleeper. Before we went to breakfast, she wrote in the "Hello Kitty" photo album (from the Frazier's... she LOVES it!!) something that I was able to partially translate. She brought it to breakfast and had the servers read it to us. It said "Hello my parents and sister. I have much love for you in my heart"... WOW!!! She is such a sweetheart!

We had a great time at the pool. She was calling the colors of the balls by their English names. At the mall, she was looking for the colors she knew in English and kept pointing them out. She's picking up small phrases and is teaching us things in Spanish. We were able to find her a children's Spanish Bible that she absolutely loves (thanks Laura for your tip as to where to buy it... yes, we found it at the Oviedo Mall). We had dinner at the mall at an open-air pizzeria called Archies and the girls got to make their own pizzas. The servers sent them upstairs to wash their hands and then had them put on a little chef hat and apron. They had a small table set up beside us and a young lady had them do all kinds of crazy things with the dough. They had to pound it as they jumped up and down, then they had to place each cheek, forehead, and nose in the dough. They had flour and dough all over their faces!! It was sooo much fun and tasted good too. We had one of the most incredible views from the mall. Parts of this mall is open air, so as we were walking, there was a spot that overlooked the city. It was dark and in the valley the lights of the city looked like twinkle lights with the beautiful mountains in the backdrop... breathtaking!!

Again, it's late and I'm tired... off to bed.

Chao,
Kathy

Oh yay! Oviedo is a nice mall. I prefer shopping there (and watching movies - some english w/ spanish subs) Pamona is also a good place to pick up a few items from the grocery. Tesoro is the other good mall to go to. They have some fun activities for the girls (an outdoor amusement/activity type area for kids).

Archies is pretty good pizza. They also deliver...so when you want to stay in but don't want hotel food...fyi. If you like flowers try to get to the botanical gardens. Flores del Romeral is my husband's aunts' orchid shop (they have gorgeous orchids) and just down a couple of doors from them is a modern furniture store called Utopia owned by my SIL and her husband. So if you are out and about and happen to run into either of these...you can say hey I know someone related to them! :)
